~Turnip lanterns--make simple Halloween projects for little hands.
~This is my favorite twine holder--which was a gift a few years ago. It has kept me sane many times--when I need a quick length of twine for this or that--I always know right where it is...
~I had one of those 'ideal' Sunday nights. On some Sundays, it just seems like we are rushing, catching up, or unpacking. My perfect Sunday includes:
~Sweet smell of cinnamon pumpkin bread baking in the oven
~Carving turnips with dainty pumpkin faces
~Music video of Fleetwood Mac (hubby many times turns on music--which helps our family along--in any chore or venture when the sun goes down and we are stir crazy). It amazes me how much music changes the mood of my family. So good. As of late we are loving Billy Joel and Peter Allen.
~House picked up (not cleaned), and calm
~mellowness of the trio (oh---decided that I am asking Santa for an "inside gymnasium" for our house...the boys are always bringing basketballs, soccer balls and even scooters in our house--we had rain all weekend--that would be my dream house addition).
~Monday night football...so the TV is off, off, off...(update: It was a Sunday game and hubby was taping it for later...ok then)
~Outdoor game of soccer with all members...
~Halloween pancakes for breakfast (hubby was gone casting a line for some trout this morn)
~Worked on a little sewing and knitting...oh yes. Gotta have a little time to be 'productive' on my own projects.
~I always think I am going to get so many more things done on the weekends, than actually occurs. I have learned to live with having half-completed projects and tasks on my list. I am just happy, when the world keeps turning, and our little family keeps in sync...
