~found this embroidery of a stamp from Norway in this (Scandinavian Designs: A Japanese Craft Book) book.

~some rocks from a recent visit to Lake Superior. It is a great place for "rock-hounds".

Did you find the rocks or buy them? I have to admit we bought a little bag on our recent trip to Lake Superior. But the shop was also a rock museum and really amazing.
The embroidery is very fun! What a neat looking book - even if it's hard for me to wrap my mind around Scandinavian + Japanese.

Hey miss joy,
we did find the rocks, we love a good rock hunt. Frequently, we can be found in the "stoop" position on the lakeshore--looking for agates. Some great books out there about Lake Superior agates, and where to find them...
